Fundamentals of Band Performance

Objectives

The objective of the Band Mentorship Program is to enable a group of musicians to play and perform as a band. Learners will be able to demonstrate basic proficiency in chosen music instrument (Keyboard/ Guitar (Acoustic/ Electric/ Bass) or Drums. Learners will be taught various techniques and learn to play songs in different styles, genres and tempo. The band can be a 4 or 5-piece configuration consisting of the following players (Drummer, Keyboardist, Guitarist, Bassist and Vocalist).

Learners will experience and the learn fundamentals of performing in a band and learn how their individual instruments interact and work together with other music instruments to present a fuller and more complete sound.
